Photographic Icons: Miles Aldridge

In my first post I mentioned how I was interested in photography so it only makes sense to add some photography related posts ;).

We were given a 'mini assignment' to help kick start our subject of interest for our critical essay so off we went to the uni library (which is wonderland for bookworms like me haha) and searched for books. I typed in fashion photography and a whole list of books came up. What caught my eye was the cover for a book on Miles Aldridge's work and the info mentioned he photographed for Vogue so couldn't go wrong! The body of work is called 'I only want you to love me' and shows a series of surreal fashion images of women in surreal settings/poses and some do include half nudes. Overall this book includes a genre of photography that I absolutely LOVE. (surreal fashion that is, not nude photography haha).
